My husband’s doctor said that he needed to start taking this because he does have a minor heart defect and obviously we are aging. I know this is absorbed quickly because he’ll take one at night and fall asleep very quickly which before that didn’t happen. He was starting to worry that maybe he shouldn’t take it anymore because it made him groggy but I told him to keep on going so that his body build it up and now it is not an issue at all, he’s sleeping a lot more soundly now. It’s crazy how magnesium is good for everything! They say that most Americans are deficient in magnesium, I believe it. There’s so much insomnia out there, and that’s probably one of the contributing factors.

This capsule of Magnesium Oxide is about 7/8 of an inch long and quite easy to swallow. The bottle I received expires in Sept 2025 (so three years from now). I prefer to take supplements from companies based in the US and this product comes out of Florida. I appreciate the fact that there are very few other ingredients in this product. The serving size is two capsules in order to achieve the 400 mgs of Magnesium Oxide - so this bottle of 90 capsules is a 45-day supply. I like that it requires two capsules to achieve the maximum dosage, as then I can divide the dosage throughout the day. Magnesium is very important for our bodies and many people are deficient in their level of Magnesium. Magnesium Oxide (Magnesium bonded to Oxygen) might not be as easily absorbed by our bodies as Magnesium Citrate, but Magnesium Oxide “has one of the highest percentages of elemental magnesium per dose so it still may be the highest absorbed dose per mg”. (Some people actually prefer to take Magnesium Oxide rather than other forms of Magnesium as, due to the fact that it isn't absorbed as well, it may have more of a laxative affect.) Very happy with this product.
Took two and slept all night. Work great!
